The Visitation
Religious Education Mission
United in the Faith of our Baptism, we are welcoming to all who seek to know, love, and serve God and one another. Grounded in Love, nourished by the Eucharist, we reach out in compassion to everyone in need, young and old, in all situations. Strengthened in Hope, faithful to the Gospels, we enter the Third Millennium with a passion for truth. Answering our Call to Faith, we embrace the challenges that await us, the People of God, as we proclaim Jesus Christ, yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Philosophy
The Religious Education Program of Visitation Parish serves the children from grades 1 through 8, and Kindergarten, who attend a public school. Our program provides a solid background in Catholic doctrine, expresses faith through prayer and worship, and encourages service to others in the community.

Through sharing the stories of our faith in the Scriptures, and teaching the dogma, traditions, and doctrine of the Catholic Faith, the children are encouraged to express their faith in God through prayer, service, and worship.

In order for the students to benefit from this program, an active partnership between the parents and the religious education personnel must be in evidence. It is, therefore, expected that the parents themselves...
   bullet value the faith and practice it;
   bullet support the program by showing concern and interest in what is being taught;
   bullet actively participate in the activities sponsored by the Religious Education Program.
