An expectant mother calls the 888-4-HOPE-4-1 Hotline from a Project Gabriel parish sign or bumper sticker and is then paired with a trained volunteer called a "Gabriel Angel." The Angel offers her a listening ear, a caring heart, prayer, and spiritual friendship. Material support such as clothing and baby equipment is also provided. Angels have information on areas services such as housing resources, healthcare/medical agencies, family shelter services and Catholic Charities Adoption Counseling.

1.	You can pray for the project. Pray for all Visitation volunteers and for all the families being helped by the project.
2.	You can place a PROJECT GABRIEL bumper magnet on your car. These can be found in the back of church or call our parish project coordinator Rosemarie Pollitz at 279-3442.

4.	You can volunteer for the project.
		We need someone with a pickup truck to occasionally deliver furniture to families being helped. Clients are rarely more than fifteen miles away.
		We need assistance organizing and storing items in a "Mother's Closet" for women that need baby supplies and clothing.
		We need women to serve as Angel Friends to pregnant women. Angels work as a team of three to four volunteers assigned to assist a client. Training is provided. The average time commitment is 2 to 3 hours per month.
		Visitation currently has 15 trained volunteers for Project Gabriel. We are always looking for more. Angels are friendly, non-judgmental, caring individuals. No prior experience is needed.
