The estimated cost to complete the Phase I construction and renovation work on the Parish Center, campus and school is $6,255,000. With an initial parish investment of $550,000, that cost can be reduced to $5,705,000. This investment includes a memorial gift from Monsignor Podesta ($455,000), a 2006 budget surplus ($45,000), and funds available from the building account ($50,000).
Two fundraising amounts are critical to this process: the Preliminary Goal and the Challenge Goal. During the prep phase it was estimated that the parish has the capacity and propensity to raise a preliminary total of $4 million. Like most organizations, Visitation's needs exceed the predicted amount to be raised. Therefore, with the sacrificial giving of all parishioners, the parish will strive to exceed our preliminary goal and reach our challenge goal. The gifts represented in the charts below offer a series of funding benchmarks which would help successfully build Phase I of the Master Plan:
